Meet: A spam-free Job platform for Hindi speaking youth of India.
2021 - 2024
Lack of trusted and spam-free job platform for local and young Hindi-speaking youth of Tier || / ||| cities of India that can provide detailed information about verified opportunities from verified companies.
To define the user problems, analyse where the existing product is lacking in meeting the desired objectives and then design a better user-centred solution.
I spoke with some of the existing users of the jobseeker app and the internal operations team handling the employer app. I watched the recorded user interviews, investigated some of the earlier survey data, and analysed the employer feedback form data.
I had a conversation with Meet's stakeholders to understand the product's vision and mission.
After collecting data from these various sources, I performed a qualitative analysis to understand and define the problems, pain points and goals of users in context with the existing product.

As a User Researcher and an unbiased first-time user of Meet App, I ran through it to evaluate it against the 10 heuristics of UX and prepared a report.

To get a sense of how other products in the market are trying to solve similar problems and how far have they been successful in doing so, I studied 5 contemporary platforms in detail.
I created my user account on these platforms, created profile, and applied to jobs to get a first-hand user experience as a jobseeker as well an employer.
I documented the workflows and created a report to provide ratings to each of these products against a set of metrics.
This comprehensive exercise gave a clarity on which solutions are helpful and how can Meet provide its unique solution.

After comprehensive user research and iterative wireframing based on feedback, I handed over the wireframes to the UI design team for high‑fidelity designs. Then, Product Development kicked off.
My Role: Frontend Architect, Lead Developer and UX Engineer
Tech Stack: React for frontend, Material UI for Design System, Algolia for faster candidate profile search, Node for backend services, AWS for cloud infrastructure.
Here's the final product showing the search experience of finding local talent based on location! Candidates can be searched by role. For finding local talent, Near Me option can be selected from the location options (powered by Google Maps API). Notice the Chai Cup loader while the talents load!
One notable feature I designed was the horizontal career timeline interaction.
I designed the subtle card shuffle animation in css to give an enjoyable experience to the user while the system fetches the relevant candidates based on search parameters.
55000+ youth connected with verified opportunities in 8000+ companies and 2000+ job offers made.
Notice the work role explained by the employee in Hinglish language! Because of the language flexibility, more and more Hindi-speaking youth participated in providing feedback related to their job roles and companies.
